Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, trails, and green spaces
- Lead recreational programs for youth/adults including sports clinics, arts & crafts, and fitness activities
- Conduct daily safety inspections and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Assist in special event coordination for festivals, tournaments, and community gatherings
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment for park operations
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with maintenance teams for landscaping, irrigation, and facility repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of recreational equipment safety standards
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for special events
