Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park facilities including playgrounds, sports courts, and walking trails
- Operate landscaping equipment and maintain healthy turf, gardens, and natural areas
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for community festivals and recreational activities
- Monitor park conditions and report safety hazards or maintenance needs
- Engage with visitors to provide information and ensure positive park experiences
- Support seasonal programs including youth sports, outdoor education, and special events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to public service and community engagement
- Basic knowledge of park safety protocols and equipment operation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings
