Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, facilities, and equipment including landscaping, irrigation, and playground safety inspections
- Organize and lead recreational activities, sports leagues, and community events for diverse age groups
- Enforce park regulations and provide excellent customer service to visitors
- Perform routine facility cleaning, minor repairs, and seasonal preparations
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response procedures during park incidents or severe weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in grounds maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of park maintenance tools and safety procedures
