Responsibilities
- Maintain park landscapes, athletic fields, and recreational facilities through daily cleaning, irrigation checks, and minor repairs
- Operate park equipment including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience
- Assist in event setup and breakdown for community gatherings, sports leagues, and cultural programs
- Monitor park conditions and report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or facility issues promptly
- Support conservation efforts through native plant care, water conservation practices, and habitat preservation
- Participate in seasonal projects including playground inspections, trail maintenance, and landscape enhancements
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for equipment operation)
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment maintenance procedures
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact positively with diverse community members
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions (heat, sun, wind)
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or recreation preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
