As a Parks and Recreation Worker, you will ensure our parks, trails, and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, including mowing, raking, trimming, and litter removal.
- Perform routine maintenance on playground equipment, athletic fields, and public restrooms.
- Monitor park areas to enforce safety rules and respond to citizen inquiries.
- Assist with the installation, watering, and care of flowers, trees, and shrubs.
- Operate light landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and tractors.
- Support special events, festivals, and recreational programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and gardening techniques.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
