Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, athletic courts, and irrigation systems
- Lead community recreational programs including youth sports, fitness classes, and cultural events
- Perform routine landscape maintenance, tree care, and pest control
- Enforce park safety regulations and provide exceptional visitor assistance
- Collaborate with volunteers and community groups on special projects
- Assist in emergency response during extreme weather or facility incidents
- Complete daily maintenance logs and equipment inspection reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or recreation programs
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication skills for public interaction and team coordination
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and power tools
- Pass background check and drug screening
