Responsibilities
- Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting of flowers and shrubs.
- Inspect and maintain park facilities, restrooms, playgrounds, and athletic fields to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Clean and restock park restrooms, shelters, and picnic areas.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and tractors, following all safety protocols.
- Assist in the removal of debris, trash, and hazardous materials from park grounds.
- Engage with the public, answer inquiries, and provide excellent customer service to park visitors.
- Assist in special events, festivals, and recreational programs as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or general maintenance practices.
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
