Responsibilities
- Grounds Maintenance: Perform daily landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and fertilizing to ensure parks and facilities are pristine.
- Facility Upkeep: Clean and maintain restrooms, picnic areas, and recreational buildings to high sanitation standards.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain a variety of power tools, mowers, tractors, and irrigation systems.
- Visitor Assistance: Interact with park visitors, answer questions, and provide information about park rules and safety guidelines.
- Seasonal Duties: Assist in snow removal during winter months and manage irrigation systems during summer months.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines while performing physical tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or custodial work is preferred but not required.
- License: Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment; strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members.
