Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Grounds: Perform routine groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, raking, and landscaping to ensure all public spaces are pristine and well-maintained.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of litter, trash, and debris in parks, playgrounds, and public facilities in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in the basic upkeep and minor repairs of park facilities, restrooms, and playground equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Event Support: Assist in the setup and teardown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community gatherings, ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
- Safety Compliance: Monitor park usage to ensure compliance with city rules, report hazards, and enforce safety protocols to protect park patrons.
- Customer Service: Interact positively with park visitors, answering questions, providing directions, and resolving minor issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, for extended periods.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or custodial work is a plus but not required.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of operating landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- License: Valid driver's license (preferred).
