Responsibilities
- Maintain athletic fields, parks, and landscaping areas through mowing, trimming, weeding, and general upkeep.
- Collect and empty trash receptacles, remove litter, and clean restrooms and shelters regularly.
- Perform minor repairs to park equipment, playground structures, and park facilities.
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery, including mowers, tractors, and leaf blowers, safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of special events, festivals, and community programs.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and rules.
- Serve as a point of contact for park visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or general maintenance practices.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
