Responsibilities
- Maintain and beautify parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and trails through landscaping, mowing, and general upkeep.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of park restrooms, shelters, and recreational facilities to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Set up, dismantle, and monitor recreational events, sports games, and community programs to ensure safety and order.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and edgers, following all safety protocols.
- Assist in the removal of trash, debris, and hazardous materials from public grounds.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding park facilities, rules, and services in a friendly and professional manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of tools and maintenance equipment.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
