The City of San Jose Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Parks and Recreation Workers. We are looking for motivated candidates who are ready to learn and contribute to the community. Previous experience is not required; we will train you!

What You Will Do:
- Maintain and improve the cleanliness and appearance of city parks, trails, and recreational facilities.
- Perform general landscaping, mowing, trimming, and groundskeeping duties.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events and recreational programs.
- Engage with park visitors, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
- Operate light equipment and tools safely under supervision.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards and report maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of gardening or landscaping is a plus, but not required.
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license (or be able to obtain one).
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliable transportation.
