Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning of park facilities, athletic fields, and playgrounds to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of recreational equipment, including irrigation systems, lighting, and park furniture.
- Monitor park grounds to ensure compliance with safety regulations and park rules, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Engage with the public to provide information, answer questions, and assist visitors with programs or events.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of community events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Operate light machinery and power tools, following all safety protocols and operating procedures.
- Assist in the planting, watering, and pruning of trees and plants to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the park.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record are required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and cold.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping or recreational activities is a plus but not mandatory due to our paid training program.
