Responsibilities
- Maintain and beautify public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities through landscaping, mowing, and general groundskeeping.
- Operate and maintain light equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of community events, festivals, and sports tournaments.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance issues and report them promptly.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all visitors and patrons.
- Perform light custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms and picnic areas.
- Assist in the maintenance of sports fields and athletic complexes, including lining and grooming.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community relations.
