Responsibilities
- Maintain and beautify parks, trails, and recreational facilities through mowing, raking, trimming, and general landscaping.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, pavilions, and athletic fields.
- Safely operate power tools, mowers, tractors, and other landscaping equipment.
- Assist in the setup, tear-down, and supervision of community events and recreational programs.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas and vehicles.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure visitor safety and compliance.
- Inspect grounds for hazards, maintenance needs, or pest control issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or public works is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Must possess a valid New Mexico Class C Driver's License or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and safety protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
