Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, raking, and litter removal in parks and public areas.
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of park facilities, restrooms, and recreational equipment.
- Set up and dismantle equipment for community events, sports games, and special programs.
- Monitor park grounds to ensure safety compliance and report maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Operate landscaping machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Interact with the public in a positive and helpful manner, answering inquiries about park services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License (Class D) required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of gardening and landscaping practices is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
