Responsibilities

  • Maintain park landscapes, athletic fields, and green spaces through mowing, pruning, irrigation, and seasonal planting
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance on park equipment (mowers, tractors, irrigation systems)
  • Inspect and repair playgrounds, benches, shelters, and other park amenities
  • Support special events setup/breakdown including concerts, festivals, and youth sports
  • Implement erosion control measures and sustainable landscaping practices
  • Respond to weather-related park emergencies (snow removal, storm cleanup)
  • Collaborate with volunteer groups for community beautification projects

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
