As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in preserving our parks, ensuring public safety, and providing exceptional service to residents and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public parks, athletic fields, trails, and landscaping to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, and trimmers.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, picnic areas, and recreational facilities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of community events and recreational programs.
- Monitor park areas for safety hazards, report maintenance needs, and enforce park rules.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control during winter months as required.
- Interact positively with the public, answering inquiries and providing information about park facilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, park maintenance, or general labor preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is a plus.
