Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities through landscaping, equipment operation, and routine inspections
- Assist in organizing and supervising recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events
- Ensure public safety by enforcing park rules, conducting facility checks, and reporting maintenance needs
- Operate park equipment including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns
- Support seasonal initiatives such as holiday decorations, special event setups, and facility winterization
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects and program development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience in grounds maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse community members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events
