Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, trails, and recreational facilities through landscaping, equipment operation, and safety inspections
- Lead recreational programs including youth sports, senior activities, and community events
- Enforce park regulations and provide excellent visitor assistance
- Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, snow removal) safely
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility improvements and seasonal projects
- Respond to public inquiries and resolve facility-related concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience with outdoor recreation programming or facility management
- Strong communication skills and commitment to community service
