Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, trimming, litter removal, and irrigation system checks
- Operate park equipment safely (mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers)
- Assist with facility setup and breakdown for events, sports leagues, and community programs
- Perform routine inspections of playgrounds, trails, and athletic fields to identify safety hazards
- Support special event coordination and crowd management during festivals and activities
- Collaborate with maintenance staff on seasonal projects like planting and hardscape repairs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries promptly
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operation procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Previous experience in landscaping, facilities maintenance, or recreation preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
