Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and green spaces
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems)
- Assist with setup, supervision, and breakdown of community events and programs
- Conduct facility inspections and safety audits across park properties
- Collaborate with volunteers and community groups on beautification projects
- Implement seasonal maintenance plans for turf, trees, and horticultural displays
- Support recreation programming through facility preparation and participant engagement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in grounds maintenance or recreation services
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills for public interaction and team collaboration
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, turf management, or park safety protocols
- Proficient with digital tools for reporting and scheduling (remote-friendly)
