Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including document preparation, data entry, and record maintenance
- Manage departmental calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Assist with public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Process and track departmental permits, licenses, and official documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain accurate filing systems both physical and digital
- Assist in preparation of reports and presentations for departmental review
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year administrative support experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Basic knowledge of municipal government operations preferred
- Valid Louisiana driver's license may be required
