Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming calls and emails with a focus on customer service and confidentiality.
- Prepare and distribute departmental memos, reports, and meeting agendas.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems for sensitive government documents.
- Assist in the coordination of community outreach events and public workshops.
- Perform data entry, expense reports, and invoice processing in accordance with city financial regulations.
- Provide general administrative support to senior management and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all City of Los Angeles policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional administrative or clerical experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional tone.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced government environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
