Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Handle incoming enquiries from the public via phone and email with professionalism, providing accurate information regarding government services.
- Case Processing: Review and process applications, benefits claims, and documentation thoroughly and accurately within designated timeframes.
- Administrative Support: Maintain and update accurate records and databases using secure government IT systems; perform data entry and filing duties.
- Compliance & Security: Strictly adhere to government protocols, data protection regulations (GDPR), and confidentiality agreements.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues and escalate complex queries to senior colleagues or specialist teams to ensure resolution.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a multi-functional team to meet departmental objectives and targets.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English and Mathematics.
- Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role or customer service environment is desirable.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
