Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals, regulations, and emerging trends to assess impacts on NC communities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation strategies for state agencies
- Conduct stakeholder outreach and facilitate public engagement sessions across Charlotte region
- Monitor budget allocations and fiscal implications of policy decisions
- Lead interdepartmental task forces to resolve operational inefficiencies
- Prepare testimony and reports for legislative committees and public hearings
- Maintain compliance with NC state government regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative research methods and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing state-level policies
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina state government structure and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive audiences
- Professional certification in Public Policy (e.g., PPFP) preferred
