Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to underserved neighborhoods in San Antonio
- Conduct community assessments to identify service gaps and resource needs
- Facilitate informational workshops on state assistance programs (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.)
- Build and maintain partnerships with local nonprofits and faith-based organizations
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in state systems
- Represent the agency at community events and public forums
- Provide culturally competent assistance to diverse populations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 1 year experience in community outreach or customer service
- Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems
- Valid Texas driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Clear background check and fingerprinting clearance
- Knowledge of San Antonio's diverse communities preferred
