Responsibilities
- Process VA Claims: Assist in the intake and organization of disability compensation claims and pension applications with high accuracy.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to veterans and their families via phone, email, and in-person inquiries at the Miami service center.
- Record Management: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive federal records and ensure all documentation complies with federal regulations and privacy laws.
- Data Entry: Input and verify data into the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) and other federal databases.
- Compliance: Assist in preparing reports and ensuring office operations adhere to agency policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with claims adjudicators and support staff to streamline workflow and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a suitable background check for federal employment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
