Responsibilities
- Document Processing: Accurately process, file, and maintain incoming and outgoing correspondence and veteran records.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, veterans, and staff with inquiries regarding office procedures and services.
- Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, answer multi-line telephones, and distribute messages in a timely manner.
- Data Entry: Perform high-speed data entry into federal databases (e.g., eBenefits) with a focus on accuracy and privacy compliance.
- Mail Management: Sort and distribute mail and packages for staff and ensure proper chain of custody for sensitive federal documents.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment, submitting requests for replenishment as needed.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of general office experience, preferably in a government or customer service setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Typing: Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Background: Ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a security clearance.
