Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleansing: Gather, normalize, and validate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from federal systems and external sources.
- Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights for program improvement.
- Reporting: Create comprehensive, high-level reports and briefings for senior leadership and government stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling, storage, and processing adhere to federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, NIST standards) and agency security protocols.
- Collaboration: Partner with program managers and technical leads to define data requirements and optimize reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in data analysis, with a preference for experience within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data querying and Python or R for advanced data manipulation.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (active clearance preferred).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
