Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal agency hardware and software systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with FISMA security protocols, NIST standards, and agency-specific IT policies.
- Manage and document IT service requests, incidents, and change orders within the ticketing system.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain security clearance requirements.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement software patches and security updates.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a federal or government contracting IT environment.
- Proficiency in ITIL framework and Service Desk operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
