Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Technical Support: Provide tier-2 support to federal employees, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently and professionally.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to strict federal regulations, including FISMA and NIST standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
- Project Assistance: Assist senior staff with IT projects, including software upgrades, security patches, and system migrations.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors to manage service contracts and resolve technical escalations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Public Trust security clearance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering within a government or corporate environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Ability to work variable hours and weekends as required by federal requirements.
