Responsibilities
- Manage and digitize veteran medical records with 99% accuracy
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal record-keeping standards
- Process FOIA requests within mandated 20-day timeframe
- Coordinate with VA medical centers for record retrieval
- Implement electronic records management systems
- Train staff on record classification protocols
- Audit records for security and accessibility compliance
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Associate degree in Records Management or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience with electronic health records
- Proficiency in VA VISTA system and Adobe Pro
- Knowledge of 44 U.S.C. Chapter 31 (Federal Records Act)
- Security clearance eligibility
- Ability to lift 15 lbs for archival materials
- Excellent written communication skills
