Responsibilities
- Receive and screen incoming calls and visitors, providing accurate information and routing them to the appropriate staff members.
- Process and prepare government documents, forms, and applications with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and organize both electronic and physical filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of records.
- Perform data entry tasks, including updating databases and generating routine reports.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding permits, licenses, and general departmental policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the office runs efficiently during scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or customer service role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic computer literacy and typing speed of 40 WPM.
