Responsibilities
- Manage and organize physical and digital government records in strict compliance with state and federal archival standards.
- Assist in the digitization of historical documents and municipal files to improve accessibility for the public.
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens requesting information regarding public records and FOIA requests.
- Conduct routine audits of filing systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline document retrieval processes and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an office environment or with government records management is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adhere to established protocols.
