As a vital member of our team, you will support the Mayor's Office in executing key initiatives and ensuring transparency in city operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of official city documents, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Manage incoming public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain and organize filing systems, ensuring compliance with record-keeping regulations.
- Support the coordination of community engagement events and city council meetings.
- Conduct basic research and compile data for monthly performance reports.
- Perform data entry and update digital databases with high accuracy.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards regarding sensitive citizen information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic database management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by city policy.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
