Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for internal staff efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain IT Infrastructure: Assist in the routine maintenance, updates, and configuration of network systems, servers, and peripherals.
- Security Compliance: Enforce federal cybersecurity policies, ensuring all hardware and software meet strict government security standards.
- Asset Management: Assist in the inventory tracking, deployment, and disposal of IT equipment in accordance with federal guidelines.
- Project Assistance: Support ongoing IT modernization projects and system upgrades under the supervision of senior IT staff.
- User Training: Conduct basic training sessions for employees on new software applications and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and common office software.
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust background clearance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
