Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service at library service desks, assisting patrons with material circulation, digital resources, and reference inquiries
- Organize and maintain library collections, ensuring accurate shelving and inventory management
- Facilitate community programs including children's storytimes, tech workshops, and cultural events
- Operate library technology systems including ILLiad, Libby, and public computers
- Assist with outreach initiatives to underserved neighborhoods and diverse populations
- Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming library environments
- Collaborate with team members on collection development and program planning
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in public-facing role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic library software
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings/weekends
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Basic knowledge of library organization principles
- Valid Texas driver's license with reliable transportation
- Pass background check and fingerprinting requirements
