Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with library resources, including book circulation, digital access, and reference inquiries
- Manage library materials: cataloging, shelving, inventory, and preservation
- Support community programs: set up events, register participants, and coordinate logistics
- Maintain a welcoming environment: enforce library policies and assist with facility operations
- Utilize integrated library systems (ILS) for patron services and data management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery
- Contribute to accessibility initiatives for diverse community needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- 6+ months customer service or library experience required
- Proficiency with digital tools and basic office software
- Strong communication skills with multilingual ability a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings/weekends
- Valid Texas driver's license for mobile library services
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
