Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, trimming, litter removal, and irrigation checks
- Assist with setup/teardown for events, sports leagues, and community programs
- Monitor facilities for safety hazards, equipment issues, and maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Support seasonal projects like garden installations, trail maintenance, and holiday decorations
- Operate park equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers) safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with full-time staff on park improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform manual labor
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of groundskeeping tools preferred
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
