Responsibilities
- Perform routine park maintenance including litter removal, playground safety checks, and equipment sanitization
- Assist with recreational program setup, supervision, and participant engagement
- Monitor park usage and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Support seasonal events, sports tournaments, and community gatherings
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, leaf blowers) with proper certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New York State Driver's License preferred
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of park safety protocols and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with diverse populations
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
- Previous experience in customer service or recreation programs preferred
