Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Accurately document incident details in compliance with protocols
- Coordinate with police, fire, and medical responders during emergencies
- Maintain situational awareness and prioritize resource allocation
- Provide critical information to field units and external agencies
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic typing proficiency (40+ WPM) and computer literacy
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-stress situations
- Clear communication skills with diverse populations
- Valid Oregon driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
