Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community organizations and agency partners
- Monitor federal policy developments affecting local governance
- Support grant application processes for federal funding opportunities
- Manage datasets using Excel and Tableau for trend visualization
- Participate in interdepartmental task force meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 1-3 years of policy analysis or research experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of DC's governmental structure and regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license (for occasional field site visits)
