Responsibilities
- Analyze state-level technology policies and their socioeconomic impacts in Chicago communities
- Research emerging digital equity initiatives and prepare concise policy briefs for legislative review
- Coordinate with Chicago-based community organizations to gather stakeholder input on tech accessibility
- Support data-driven decision-making through quantitative analysis of urban broadband adoption metrics
- Assist in drafting responsive policy recommendations addressing digital divide challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on grant applications for federal/state technology funding
- Track legislative developments affecting public sector digital transformation efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years policy analysis or government affairs experience
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of Illinois state government operations and procurement processes
- Exceptional written communication skills with samples of published policy documents
- Experience working with diverse community stakeholders in urban environments
- Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to travel within Chicago metropolitan area
- U.S. citizenship required for state government position
