Responsibilities
- Screen and process applications for state benefit programs (SNAP, Medicaid, TANF)
- Conduct eligibility interviews and verify applicant documentation
- Provide accurate benefit information and program guidance to applicants
- Maintain confidential case files and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Collaborate with community partners to outreach underserved populations
- Utilize state case management systems for data entry and reporting
- Participate in ongoing training on policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex processes
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Basic knowledge of Texas state benefit programs preferred
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
- Must pass state background check and fingerprinting
