Responsibilities
- Process and verify eligibility for state assistance programs (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.)
- Provide compassionate guidance to applicants via phone and in-person
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation
- Collaborate with community partners to connect clients with resources
- Conduct periodic case reviews and updates
- Participate in ongoing training on policy updates
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in social work, public administration, or related field
- 1+ years customer service or benefits administration experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Valid Michigan driver's license (if travel required)
