Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement community health outreach events across Houston neighborhoods
- Assist with public health education campaigns and resource distribution
- Manage digital and physical communications for state health programs
- Collect and analyze community feedback to inform service improvements
- Collaborate with state agencies and non-profit partners on joint initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions and program outcomes
- Support emergency preparedness efforts as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in community outreach or public service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication tools
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid Texas driver's license with reliable transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Basic data analysis and reporting capabilities
