Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street repair, drainage maintenance, and park infrastructure upkeep
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, power washers, hand tools) under supervision
- Assist in seasonal projects like vegetation control and storm drain cleaning
- Maintain safe work zones using proper signage and protective equipment
- Support waste collection and recycling operations as needed
- Document work progress and complete daily activity reports
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and city maintenance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Experience with basic hand/power tools or construction/maintenance preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
