Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and hand tools under supervision
- Assist in park maintenance, landscaping, and seasonal cleanup operations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Support snow removal and emergency weather response during winter months
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with public works or construction preferred but not required
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
