Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in street maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, basic hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk repairs and drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Support environmental initiatives through waste management and vegetation control
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city maintenance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance tools and equipment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends as needed
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and physical exam
- Preferred: 6+ months of construction or landscaping experience
